Lead Office Coordinator - Vascular - Full Time - Days Job Summary Provides indirect patient care in the office/clinic setting. Coordinates phone calls, appointments and prescription authorizations. Acts as liaison between the patients and clinical staff and/or provider. Manages provider schedule, canceling/rescheduling as necessary. Performs various clerical duties such as correspondence to patients and/or insurance companies. Core Job Responsibilities Provides non-clinical patient support/act as liaison between patients and clinical staff and providers Utilizes phone notes for all communication/documentation between self and patient Answers phone calls (message to providers, appointments made/changed, normal lab results, referring to nurse when clinically appropriate) Check patients in/out Obtain authorizations for office procedures Assists with provider schedules, canceling, rescheduling as needed Completes cross training in other positions, as applicable Sends letters to patients as needed to inform of visit Sends letters to insurance companies appealing denied services Places Lawson orders TMA requests Ensures all audits, controls, inspections are completed (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) Completes office payroll Verify/authorize orders and forward packing slips to materials management Proficient in the necessary computer systems and functions. Able to provide assistance and training to staff and providers Ensuring staff compliance with all mandatory responsibilities, e.g., annual mandatories, health assessment, flu vaccine, etc. Lead for all non-clinical staff Perform other duties as required Education/Experience Requirements 5 years experience in an office setting Experience with insurance company rules and regulations preferred, Medical Terminology strongly recommended Disclaimer Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their age, race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, et al), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, protected veteran status, or disability.
