CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTOR I (CLASS CODE 2204)

Beginning level work inspecting dwellings to secure compliance with laws, ordinances, and regulations governing minimum housing standards; and related work as required. Qualifications High School graduation or G.E.D. Equivalency Diploma. EITHER: Sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited college or university. OR: Two (2) years of experience involving heavy public contact, general compliance, investigatory, or enforcement experience. Note: Some positions may require a valid driver’s license. Note: Applicants hired between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2027 are exempted from the requirement to reside in Orleans Parish.
