CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTOR II (CLASS CODE 2203)

Inspectional work to secure compliance with municipal laws and regulations applicable to safe, adequate, and healthful housing construction and conditions; and related work as required. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or A high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience involving heavy public contact, general compliance, investigatory, or enforcement experience. Valid driver’s license (some positions may require it). Applicants hired between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2027 are exempt from the requirement to reside in Orleans Parish. Written examination and a rating of training and experience (weighted 100%) will be required; current Code Enforcement Inspector I employees are exempt from the exam.
