Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' individual trauma histories and identify the best course of treatment.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing their trauma, equipping them with coping strategies and promoting healing.

• Coordinate care by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring integrated and holistic support for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention during emotional emergencies, offering immediate assistance and support tailored to trauma-affected individuals.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms while connecting them to available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in full compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development initiatives, focusing on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic services a diverse array of clients, particularly those struggling with trauma-related conditions, including PTSD and other complex disorders. Located in Kayenta, Arizona, we serve patients from multiple backgrounds, striving to address the unique needs of native and local populations who have historically faced systemic challenges in accessing mental health services.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Arizona.

• Strong knowledge and experience with trauma-related disorders as well as familiarity with trauma-informed restorative modalities is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.

• The ability to manage high-stress situations effectively and maintain a calm demeanor is crucial.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, particularly working with trauma survivors, is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
