Accounts Payable Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-paced accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments while maintaining compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process AP invoices daily through automated systems (including PO and non-PO invoices)
- Perform 2-way and 3-way matching and validate supporting documentation
- Handle payment requests, weekly freight uploads, and invoice corrections (offsets)
- Research and resolve unpaid or blocked invoices and vendor discrepancies
- Review vendor statements and communicate with vendors on payment status
- Assist with weekly check runs, mailing payments, and electronic deposits
- Support general AP functions and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance preferred)
- 1+ year of administrative or accounting support experience (entry-level candidates welcome)
- Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office; ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and ability to collaborate across teams

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
