Senior Bookkeeper

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $100,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle bookkeeping activities for multiple client accounts, including transaction processing and account maintenance.
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries, assist with month end close activities, and support the preparation of financial reports.
• Coordinate with tax and accounting teams by providing financial information, documentation, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with client onboarding, accounting system setup, and special financial projects as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in a professional environment.
• Previous experience managing multiple client accounts and balancing competing deadlines.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Prior experience with account reconciliations, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance.
• Ability to prepare financial reports and support compliance related filing activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a public accounting, CPA firm, or multi client environment.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month end reporting processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with clients and internal teams.
• Prior experience with bookkeeping technology, certifications, or additional accounting software platforms.
