Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to tailor personalized treatment plans.
• Provide one-on-one patient care, focusing on a manageable caseload that allows for thorough attention to each individual's needs.
• Design and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs that incorporate various therapeutic techniques, with an emphasis on maximizing mobility and functionality.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative treatment modalities, including manual therapy and exercise prescription, to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to encourage active participation in their recovery.
• Regularly assess and re-evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ideally using Web PT, to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals, fostering an inter-disciplinary approach to patient wellness.
• Provide motivation and support to promote a positive healing environment, encouraging patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with outpatient clients spanning various age groups who require physical therapy services due to orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This diverse patient population allows you to apply your expertise to a wide range of therapeutic scenarios, which can be both rewarding and challenging.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Active and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, without any history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Strong knowledge of manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to successfully develop and administer exercise programs.
• Proficiency in using EMR software, especially Web PT, for effective and precise documentation.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current physical therapy practices and methodologies backed by research.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient clinic setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated excellence in the delivery of orthopedic outpatient care.
• Experience in developing fitness and wellness plans tailored to individual client needs.

Compensation and Benefits
