About the Role

The Company is seeking an Interim CFO to provide essential financial leadership during a transitional period. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the organization's financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow strategy. This role also involves overseeing accounting and compliance for various funding sources, producing and presenting financial reports, and leading the annual audit process. The Interim CFO will be a key partner to operational leaders, ensuring that financial practices align with the company's priorities, and will supervise a small finance team, providing support and promoting efficiency. Applicants for the Interim CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive finance and accounting experience, with a strong background in nonprofit or government financial environments. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, as well as a deep understanding of grant accounting and public or restricted funding requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in governmental or nonprofit accounting standards, including oversight of audits and compliance-related reporting, and the ability to provide steady guidance to a small finance team. Familiarity with specific financial software is a plus, but not mandatory. The Interim CFO will be expected to work in a hybrid arrangement, with a presence in the office three days a week.
