Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele in Berlin, Vermont, starting 07/16/2026 for 4 weeks, with a 3x12 Night shift. This assignment emphasizes telemetry‑enabled medical‑surgical care with post‑operative and complex medical patients, within a collaborative, team‑based unit. Key Highlights Weekly pay: 2,048–2,182 per week Contract duration: 4 weeks Shift: 12‑hour nights (3x12) Start date: 07/16/2026 Unit setting: Med‑Surg with Telemetry in a 122‑bed hospital unit Responsibilities Provide direct bedside nursing for adult medical‑surgical patients on telemetry, including applying and interpreting telemetry rhythms and acting on abnormal findings. Perform essential nursing tasks (NG tube insertion, peripheral IV placement, medication administration via Pyxis, wound care, and patient assessments) as part of a coordinated care team. Collaborate with LPNs/LNAs and unit staff to plan and deliver patient‑focused care across post‑op ortho, post‑op urology, GI, COPD, CHF, diabetes, end‑of‑life, dementia, and placement needs. Document accurately in the Epic system; adhere to med administration and safety protocols; monitor and interpret cardiac monitoring data using Mindray/GE equipment and other unit technologies. Communicate with patients, families, and the care team to explain care plans, transitions, and discharge needs; participate in care conferences as needed. Participate in orientation and ongoing education; may float to related units infrequently and work with a shared governance mindset. Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in Vermont. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Telemetry Certification required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required prior to start. Telemetry experience: 3 years in Telemetry or 5 years in Med‑Surg Telemetry. Education: RN with relevant clinical training; EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years. Prior travel experience required: 2 travel assignments in 300+ bed facilities OR prior experience at a UVM Health Network acute care facility. Able to function in a high‑acuity telemetry‑equipped Med/Surg setting; comfortable with NG tubes, IVs, and post‑operative care.
