Job Description Office Engineer I provides a broad spectrum of technical and administrative duties primarily associated with submittal and Request for Information (RFI) management as well as construction management support. Supports the project management team, including the project manager, assistant PM, construction manager, design manager, and others. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist the CTA Curbside Improvement Program in receiving, distributing, and maintaining submittals. Perform construction contract correspondence, document and plan control, input data into PM Web, and prepare management status reports as required. Update and maintain logs for submittals and RFIs in PM Web, the project information system. Maintain project files and document/submittal management systems (both hard and electronic copies). Work with contractors to ensure drawings are posted efficiently and in a timely manner, distribute documents, submittals, and RFIs for review; track and compile responses/review comments, obtain approval, and issue responses. Manipulate electronic files of various formats to create exhibits for presentations and meetings. Complete other responsibilities and assist as assigned to support the project, such as attending and documenting project meetings (write agendas and minutes), performing expediting functions, and preparing and maintaining an expediting log. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (required). Five years or more of experience, preferably on airport projects. Experience with projects valued at more than $50 million. Experience with various delivery methods, including Design‑Bid‑Build, Design+CMAR, and Design/Build. Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam. Preferred ability to work in PM Web. Position is Monday‑Friday full‑time, in the office or on the project site at LAX.
