Office Engineer

Overview Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a diligent Office Engineer in San Pedro, CA to join our team. The pay range for this position is $87,000.00 - $127,000.00 annually. The pay range for this position is for the project assignment at Port of Los Angeles Berths 302-305. Duties and Responsibilities *This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position. Assist Project Manager and Project Engineer and act as support for the field. Know the contractual obligations that Herzog has with the client and vice versa. Support document control functions including but not limited to the processing of transmittals, submittals, and RFI’s. Assist with cost coding labor, equipment, materials, and supplies. Assist with the procurement and timely delivery of project materials Assist with Subcontract administration. Attend and support various meetings by maintaining and distributing accurate meeting minutes. Acquire and assist with closing construction-related permits. Regular and consistent engagement, participation, and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent experience in a construction related position preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Procore or PM Web is a plus. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Must have strong organization skills. Must be highly motivated. Pre-Employment Requirements Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen. Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
