- Perform thorough assessments of patients, conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories with a keen eye.
- Engage in diagnosing surgical conditions through analysis of imaging results and lab findings, collaborating with the surgical team.
- Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to create tailored surgical treatment strategies that cater to individual patient needs.
- Provide invaluable support during surgeries, including setting up operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and confidently passing instruments as needed.
- Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative patient care encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and educational support.
- A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is essential.
- Prior completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgery is highly preferred.
- Must hold an unrestricted PA-C certification.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- State licensure or eligibility as a Physician Assistant is required.
- Comprehensive understanding of surgical practices and protocols.
