General Manager

General Manager | Pause Studio Nashville, TN | $75,000 - $85,000 + $300/month HRA Stipend

Pause Studio is hiring a General Manager for their Nashville location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations, team development, and client experience.

This is not a passive role. The right person will own the studio floor, build the team, and drive the performance that keeps clients coming back.

Pause is a modern recovery brand offering science-backed wellness services including flotation therapy, infrared sauna, cold plunge, cryotherapy, IV therapy, and more. The GM role is central to making that experience feel effortless for every client who walks through the door.

If you have a strong operational instinct, a genuine passion for wellness, and the ability to lead a team with both accountability and warmth, this role was built for you. There is also a clear path to a Director-level position within 12 to 18 months for the right performer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own studio operations from top to bottom, including cleanliness, safety standards, equipment maintenance, and supply management
• Build, hire, train, and retain a high-performing team
• Drive revenue growth through strong service culture, client retention, and lead conversion
• Review weekly performance dashboards and adjust to meet financial targets
• Manage scheduling, payroll, and timekeeping for all team members
• Oversee retail and supply inventory
• Maintain communication with ownership and HQ on HR, marketing, and operational needs
• Additional duties as assigned

CORE REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of management experience, preferably in health, wellness, or fitness
• Strong sales instincts and a service-first approach
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team
• Highly organized with strong communication skills
• Experience across multiple locations is a plus and reflected in compensation

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Base salary: $75,000 to $85,000 (DOE)
• $300/month HRA stipend to offset health insurance premiums
• Director-level advancement opportunity in 12 to 18 months for strong performers

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In the first 90 days, you have a handle on operations, the team feels supported, and the client experience is consistent. Within 6 months, revenue trends are moving in the right direction and you have built a culture the team is proud to be a part of.
