Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage the seating plan and reservation system to ensure accurate table assignments and efficient rotation.
• Handle guest queries, requests, and special seating preferences with tact and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with guests to manage expectations and enhance their dining experience.
• Communicate effectively with waiters, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operation of the dining area.
• Work collaboratively with waiters, waiter assistants, and other restaurant staff to ensure seamless service.
• Support the overall team effort by assisting with various tasks as needed.
• Assist with reservation management, updating guest profiles, and seating organization.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host/hostess station and lobby area.
• Help with phone calls and guest inquiries about reservations and food options.
• Ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to achieve common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure compliance with expectations and quality standards.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• Hospitality-oriented
• Previous experience as a host in a similar restaurant environment preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
• Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer proficiency
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry objects for extended periods
• Fully bilingual (Spanish/English)
