Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) provides advanced respiratory care to patients, independently performing procedures, assessing patient response, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal respiratory health. The role requires prompt response to changes in patient status and workload, delivering high-quality care across various hospital units.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer prescribed respiratory therapies based on physician orders and patient needs.
  
  
• 
  Evaluate patient responses to treatments and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
  
  
• 
  Perform invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures with minimal supervision.
  
  
• 
  Communicate and collaborate with clinical team members to optimize patient care outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Interpret physician instructions and assess patient condition to determine appropriate interventions.
  
  
• 
  Respond swiftly to changes in workload or patient condition, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program.
  
  
• 
  Possess an active Kansas license or be eligible for licensure.
  
  
• 
  Obtain NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.
  
  
• 
  Have at least 1 year of respiratory care experience (preferred), but enthusiastic new grads are considered.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current certification and licensing requirements as mandated by state and NBRC standards.
