We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide interim support during a period of organizational transition. This role will focus heavily on month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support, while also assisting with accounts payable operations as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Support the multi-entity month-end close process
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist with annual audit preparation and execution, including meeting tight deadlines
- Provide day-to-day support for accounts payable, including invoice review and processing
- Review existing accounting work for accuracy; identify and flag issues or inconsistencies
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Contribute to process improvement efforts as appropriate during the engagement
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable stepping into environments with changing priorities
- Experience in the healthcare industry (nice to have, not required)
- Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems
- Prior experience supporting or working through audits
- Background in multi-entity accounting environments
