About the Position

A  full-time Geriatrics Physician is sought to join a well-established geriatrics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan , providing comprehensive care to an aging population across multiple skilled nursing facilities and through an advanced care coordination program .

This role offers a physician-friendly environment with leadership that prioritizes work-life balance , schedule autonomy , and adequate visit lengths to meet the needs of a medically complex geriatric population. Call responsibilities are shared among providers , supporting sustainable coverage.

The position includes the opportunity to teach residents, medical students, and fellows , making it ideal for physicians interested in academic involvement. Both new graduates who have completed a geriatrics fellowship and experienced physicians in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with geriatrics experience are encouraged to apply.

This is a community-based, long-term opportunity and is not open to commuters, secondary employment, locums, or visa candidates.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Geriatric Medicine
  OR Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with geriatrics experience
• If Board Eligible, must become Board Certified within 2 years of eligibility
• Completion of a Geriatrics Fellowship required for new graduates
• Experience working with the geriatric population
• Eligible for Michigan medical licensure
• DEA, BLS, and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain)
• Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
• No lapsed board certification
• Not open to commuters, locums, secondary employment, or visa sponsorship
