Job Summary:
The position is for a Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Tele) registered nurse located in Shelby, North Carolina. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment. The role involves providing patient care in a 32-bed medical telemetry unit with an average census of 28 patients, requiring a minimum of 18 months of Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Tele) nursing experience.

Job Details:

• Specialty: Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Tele)
• Location: Shelby, North Carolina
• Schedule: Night shift, 1845-0700, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a schedule cycle every 6 weeks
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, 18 months of Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Tele) RN experience, experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips (such as Cardizem, Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, central line management
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required within region and scope of practice
• Additional Information:
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
  • No call required
  • RTO: Up to 6 days off approved, excluding holidays; additional time may be added if contracted hours are not met
  • Scrub color: Navy
  • Support within the department includes CNA, receptionists/HUCs, charge nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, telemetry monitoring/technicians, and other support staff
  • Technology and equipment include EPIC EMR, Phillips monitors, Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing
