We are a well-established jewelry company with full, robust capacity in product development and an extensive wholesale channel. As part of our strategic growth, we are aggressively expanding our business presence into the online sector. We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader to build, launch, and drive our digital commerce footprint from the ground up.
Objective of the Role
The E-Commerce Business Development Manager will be entirely responsible for developing the company’s online business across various digital platforms. You will devise and implement a practical, agile online business strategy with the ultimate goal of driving sustainable revenue and scaling this new sector for the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Implementation: Devise, launch, and execute a comprehensive online business strategy across multiple digital platforms.
- Market Responsiveness: Monitor market developments and consumer trends closely, responding swiftly with actionable commercial tactics.
- Product Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our internal product development team to identify, select, and promote highly saleable items optimized for the online audience.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor site performance, digital traffic, conversion rates, and sales trends; recommend and implement data-driven actions to maximize commercial results.
Ideal Profile & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, or online sales management.
- Industry Domain: Strong experience in jewelry, accessories, fashion , or a comparable high-touch product category is strongly preferred.
- Expertise: Extensive, up-to-date knowledge and practical experience navigating different digital commerce platforms.
- Work Style: Proven ability to work independently, efficiently, and proactively in an entrepreneurial environment to hit sales targets for a brand-new business sector.
- Core Skills: Excellent organization, communication, and project coordination skills. Having an existing network in the online business space is highly advantageous.
- Language: Must be fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
