Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Hampstead, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $15.70 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or potential issues. Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft‑related activity, and/or disruptions to daily operations. Support logistics and distribution operations by observing trailer, vehicle, and pedestrian movement, assisting with traffic flow at designated areas, and communicating security‑related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
