Description
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our team at Fort Worth Heart in Fort Worth TX.
Responsibilities:
- Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform venipuncture and other laboratory tests as required, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage electronic health records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Perform basic cardiology-related procedures, such as EKGs, Holter monitor placements, and stress tests, under supervision or as directed by physicians
- Handle multi-line phone systems and communicate effectively with patients, scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual skills in English and another language.
