Financial Assistant Database Specialist

Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunity St. Pius X Parish is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and service-minded Financial Assistant & Database Specialist to join our parish team. This position plays an important role in supporting parish operations, financial stewardship, parishioner engagement and database management. The ideal candidate combines strong database and administrative skills with financial accuracy, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a welcoming, service-oriented attitude. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping others, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the mission of our Catholic community. Key Responsibilities

• Database Management: Administer and maintain the parish database, ensuring accurate parishioner records, registrations, sacramental milestones, and contact information.
• Financial Support: Process and record contributions, stewardship commitments, online giving, and pledges; reconcile and deposit parish and school funds; and maintain accurate financial records.
• Reporting & Communications: Prepare financial and database reports, mailing lists, charitable contribution statements, and information to support parish leadership and ministries.
• Parishioner Engagement: Register new parishioners, establish offertory contribution envelopes, and coordinate welcome communications.
• Technology & Administration: Support database improvements, train staff as needed, assist with parish directories, and provide office and phone coverage when necessary.

Qualifications

• Supportive of the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new database systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Prior data entry, administrative, bookkeeping, or financial experience preferred.
• Experience with parish or donor management software is a plus.
