Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake interviews and psycho-social assessments to gather vital information from clients and their families, ensuring you understand their unique mental health needs.

• Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential client records in accordance with established procedures and the Washington Administrative Code (WAC), ensuring compliance and best practices.

• Utilize client feedback to develop, implement, and monitor crisis intervention and treatment plans that build on individual strengths, fostering resilience and growth.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatric providers and other professionals, ensuring an integrated approach to client care that addresses mental health and co-occurring substance use issues.

• Provide appropriate referrals to community resources as necessary, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support beyond the scope of the immediate therapeutic relationship.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of mental health challenges. This includes those experiencing trauma, family dynamics issues, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting clients through their journeys toward recovery and wellbeing, with a strong focus on trauma-informed care and family involvement.

Qualifications\n

• A valid, full Washington State license as a Mental Health Counselor at the time of hire is required.

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a Master's Degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy strongly preferred.

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in mental health counseling, particularly within integrated healthcare settings is essential.

• Previous work specifically in substance use disorder treatment within the last five years, or successful completion of relevant internships or training.
