Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Guard Card Required in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed06:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri06:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat06:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, government facility policies, and emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable laws, policies, and post orders. Monitor access points and check credentials as directed; document visitor activity, incidents, and daily observations in required reports. Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and carry authorized firearms in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree. Possess an armed guard card or license. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
