Applications Support Sr Analyst - Assistant Vice President

Citi Funds Transfer Pricing (CitiFTP) is a strategic Treasury platform undergoing significant expansion as part of Treasury's transformation roadmap. The platform supports critical Funds Transfer Pricing processes globally and continues to expand into new products, business capabilities, cloud modernization initiatives, and regulatory programs.

The Applications Support Senior Analyst (AVP C12) will serve as a Production Support Lead responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and operational excellence of the CitiFTP platform. The role requires leadership of production support activities, incident management, operational governance, release coordination, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives across a globally distributed technology environment.

The successful candidate will partner closely with Development, Infrastructure, Operations, Information Security, and Business stakeholders to maintain platform resiliency, manage operational risk, and drive support process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support & Incident Management

• Lead Level 2/Level 3 production support activities for CitiFTP applications and associated Treasury processes.
• Provide oversight and coordination for production incidents, service requests, and problem management activities.
• Drive timely restoration of services for high-severity incidents and lead technical bridge calls during critical events.
• Conduct root cause analysis and ensure implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor application health, interfaces, file transfers, batch processing, and platform availability to ensure SLA adherence.
• Coordinate resolution efforts across Development, Infrastructure, Database, Middleware, and Operations teams.
• Identify operational risks and implement controls to improve platform stability and resiliency.
• Participate in on-call support and escalation management activities.

Operational Governance & Risk Management

• Establish and maintain operational procedures, monitoring standards, support runbooks, and knowledge repositories.
• Track support metrics, incident trends, recurring issues, and operational KPIs.
• Drive continuous service improvement initiatives focused on risk reduction, automation, and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with Citi technology policies, audit requirements, operational controls, and change management standards.
• Support technology resiliency, business continuity, and disaster recovery initiatives.

Release & Change Management

• Lead production support activities for application releases and infrastructure changes.
• Coordinate deployment validation, post-implementation verification, and release readiness assessments.
• Partner with Development and Release Management teams to ensure successful implementation of platform enhancements.
• Review and assess production impacts associated with planned changes.
• Support weekend and after-hours implementation activities when required.

Data Analysis & Automation

• Perform advanced SQL analysis for troubleshooting, operational reporting, data validation, and issue resolution.
• Utilize Unix/Linux scripting and automation techniques to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Monitor and support batch scheduling platforms, automated workflows, and data processing activities.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve service reliability and support productivity.
• Generate operational dashboards, support health metrics, and executive reporting.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a key point of contact for business, operations, and technology stakeholders.
• Provide timely communication regarding incidents, operational risks, platform status, and service improvements.
• Partner with global teams across NAM, EMEA, and APAC regions to ensure consistent support coverage.
• Support executive management reporting on platform health, incident trends, and operational performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in Production Support, Application Support, or Technology Operations environments.
• Strong experience managing major incidents, problem management, and production support processes.
• Advanced SQL skills with demonstrated experience performing complex data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Strong Unix/Linux administration and scripting experience.
• Deep understanding of incident, problem, change, release, and operational risk management practices.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams during production incidents and technology implementations.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within global, distributed support organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Treasury, Finance, Funds Transfer Pricing, or Banking applications.
• Experience working with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Impala, or large-scale data platforms.
• Experience supporting Autosys or equivalent enterprise scheduling solutions.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar operational tooling.
• Exposure to OpenShift, containerized platforms, cloud technologies, and modern application architectures.
• Knowledge of DevOps, observability, SRE, and operational excellence practices.
• Experience supporting globally distributed platforms with 24x7 operational requirements.

$96,400.00 - $144,600.00
