New Hope Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health therapist to join our team in providing specialized therapeutic care to individuals impacted by trauma. This is a full-time, remote position that allows you to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact on our patients’ recovery journey.

Work Environment\n

As a remote practitioner, you will become part of a collaborative team that values communication and teamwork. While the flexibility of working from home is a key benefit of this role, you will still be able to engage in meaningful interactions with colleagues and patients through virtual platforms. Our work schedule generally runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, yet we recognize the importance of tailoring schedules around patient needs, affording some flexibility in hours.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, emotional states, and identify suitable therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and resilience building that reflect each patient's unique needs.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to assist patients in processing their experiences.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that foster healing, coping strategies, and the development of a robust support system for participants.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure that all aspects of care are integrated and cohesive for each patient.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating the ability to stay calm under pressure.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to promote understanding and healing.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards to ensure continuity of care.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current with emerging research and best practices surrounding trauma therapy to deliver the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work directly with a diverse client population that includes individuals deeply affected by trauma. This may encompass various backgrounds and ages, all seeking assistance to navigate their healing journeys. The therapist's role involves not only providing clinical expertise but also fostering trust and rapport, essential components in contributing to successful treatment outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• Strong foundational understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools essential for patient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value your unique experiences and the skills you will bring to our team. Candidates with prior exposure to trauma-focused therapies and interventions will find this position particularly fulfilling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
