About the Role:

Rajal J Patel DDS PA is looking for a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice in Orange, NJ! This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced dental team in a patient-focused environment where your skills and passion for oral health truly make a difference.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms between patients
• Take digital dental X-rays as directed
• Record patient medical histories and treatment information in patient charts
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
• Manage scheduling, patient flow, and front office support as needed
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering

Requirements:

• Prior dental assisting experience preferred; entry-level candidates welcome
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Dental radiography certification or willingness to obtain
• Familiarity with dental practice management software is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
