About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in individual and business tax preparation, advanced tax research skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base in a collaborative and professional environment. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, S corporations, trusts, and estates.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings while maintaining compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on tax planning strategies and compliance matters.
- Analyze financial records and supporting documentation to identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Respond to federal and state tax notices and assist clients with audits and examinations.
- Stay current on changes in federal, state, and local tax laws and communicate relevant updates to clients and team members.
- Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance, training, and mentorship.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and exceptional service.
- Assist with year-round tax planning and advisory services.
- Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional tax preparation experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal and California tax laws and regulations.
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns.
- Proficiency with professional tax preparation software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with multi-state tax returns is preferred.
