Job Description

As a Security Officer Electronic Access Monitor in Boise, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a technology, media, and telecommunications location; verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Operate access-control systems, cameras, and communication equipment in accordance with site procedures, while providing professional directions and assistance to authorized visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
