About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Human Resources to serve as its chief HR strategist, leading a comprehensive program that includes talent acquisition, workforce planning, total rewards, performance management, and HR technology and analytics. The successful candidate will be a seasoned, people-centered executive with a strong background in HR leadership, particularly in the areas of compensation strategy and workforce planning. This role is pivotal in advancing a strategic, service-oriented HR function that is focused on operational excellence and is well-suited for a leader with a proven track record in embedding principles of equity, inclusion, and belonging into HR practices. The AVP-HR will be a key strategic advisor on workforce strategy and organizational design, partnering with various campus leaders to ensure that the employee experience aligns with the institution's mission and values. Candidates for the Associate Vice President for Human Resources position at the company should have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years' of HR leadership experience, with an advanced degree and professional HR certification preferred. Experience in higher education is strongly preferred, but candidates from other complex, mission-driven organizations with a demonstrated ability to navigate the distinctive dynamics of higher education will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have a strong bias toward action, the ability to build trust through transparency and responsiveness, and a proven track record of supporting organizations through change, restructuring, and operational transformation.
