About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Regulatory Affairs to play a pivotal role in the development and execution of the organization's regulatory advocacy strategy. This enterprise leadership position is responsible for ensuring a consistent and proactive voice on regulatory and industry issues that impact the company's members, employees, operations, and strategic priorities. The successful candidate will be the primary lead for regulatory engagement, rulemaking analysis, and advocacy efforts, with a focus on maintaining strategic relationships with key state and federal regulators. Essential functions include monitoring and evaluating legislative and regulatory developments, coordinating input from various business and compliance units, and representing the company in discussions with trade associations, regulatory agencies, and policymakers. Applicants for the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree or JD preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience in regulatory affairs, financial services, government affairs, compliance, risk management, legal, or a related field. The role requires a deep understanding of financial institution regulation, strong knowledge of credit union operations, and the ability to analyze complex regulatory issues. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building executive-level relationships, leading enterprise initiatives, and influencing senior leaders. Technical skills in regulatory advocacy, exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Experience in a highly regulated industry, particularly financial services or credit unions, and support for multi-state operations are also key qualifications.
