Sterile Processing TechnicianAs a Sterile Processing Technician for STERIS, you'll work behind the scenes of healthcare facilities in a fast-paced environment, impacting patient safety without being patient facing. Working in the Sterile Processing Department, you will support surgical procedures by ensuring medical instruments are clean, sterile, organized, and available for the surgical team.This is an onsite role based in Metairie, LA, supporting afternoon shift, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Monday through Friday.What You'll Do As A Sterile Processing Technician I:Reprocess surgical trays post-surgery; ensuring they are decontaminated, cleaned, inspected, sterilized, correctly assembled within a timely manner and ready for the next caseOperate sterile processing washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic and drying cabinetsParticipate in regular on-site trainingThe Experience, Skills, And Abilities Needed:High School diploma or GED0 - 1 years of transferable or previous Sterile Processing experience preferredCRCST or CBSPD certification (must obtain certification within 12 months of hire and maintain annually)What STERIS Offers:STERIS is a global organization offering full time opportunities to join our growing team. This position is eligible for bonus participation.Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
