Bookkeeper Location: Niles, MI (100% onsite) About the Company and Opportunity Our client is a locally respected business known for its commitment to financial accuracy and operational transparency. This role offers hands‑on responsibility for daily accounting tasks and financial recordkeeping. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow. Prepare financial reports and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing. Process invoices, payments, and payroll entries. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Support the accounting team with audits and special projects. Preferred Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
