Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key HR resource and project coordinator, supporting a variety of HR programs, employee transactions, compliance activities, reporting, onboarding, and employee inquiries. This position requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable working with employees and leaders at all levels of an organization. The HR Generalist will help ensure HR programs and processes are implemented consistently, HR data remains accurate, and projects and deadlines are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Process employee transactions, including new hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, wage changes, and terminations.
• Maintain HR documentation, forms, templates, procedures, and employee records.
• Handle employment verifications and HR-related correspondence.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR questions and requests, providing guidance and directing employees to appropriate resources.
• Monitor and follow up on escalated HR inquiries to ensure timely resolution and a positive employee experience.
• Assist with unemployment claims, responses, appeals, and hearings as needed.
• Assist with HR invoice processing and vendor administration.
• Coordinate HR projects and collaborate with department leaders to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting notes, action items, and follow-up.
• Assist with internal and external audits and HR compliance activities.
• Monitor required certifications, licenses, policy acknowledgments, training, and other employee requirements.
• Support onboarding, new-hire orientation, background checks, and pre-employment requirements.
• Monitor onboarding completion and employee retention metrics.
• Coordinate HR meetings, training programs, and employee events.
• Prepare meeting agendas, document action items, and track completion.
• Educate employees on HR self-service tools and available workforce development resources.
• Conduct regular audits of HR records, files, and HCM data.
• Assist with HR reporting, data validation, and workforce analytics.
• Support HR leadership with employee relations matters, workplace concerns, investigations, and related documentation.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of Human Resources experience preferred.
• Experience working with an HCM/HRIS system, HR reporting, and employee data management.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of an organization.
• Strong collaboration and presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Reliable transportation to travel between work locations as needed.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
