Job Title: HR Generalist

Location: Houston, TX

Pay: $65,000-$70,000

Benefits: Medical/401 (k)/PTO

Position Summary: Our client is seeking a hands-on, organized HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits, recruiting, employee relations, and compliance. This role will also provide administrative support to the owners and work with vendors and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and administer payroll through Paychex.
• Administer employee benefits, including health/dental insurance and 401(k).
• Manage workers’ compensation, COBRA, PTO/vacation, and OSHA reporting.
• Support recruitment, new-hire onboarding, orientation, and exit interviews.
• Maintain accurate personnel and compliance records.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Support employee training and implementation of web-based HR programs.
• Serve as a point of contact for designated vendors and external partners on behalf of the Owners.
• Maintain office compliance files and assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of HR Generalist experience.
• Payroll experience; Paychex experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of benefits administration, workers’ compensation, OSHA, COBRA, and employment compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new systems independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bilingual English/Spanish, written and verbal, a plus.
• Experience developing employee training programs or implementing web-based HR systems a plus.
