Experience working on a multidisciplinary team supporting mental health therapists. Experience working with youth and young adults affected by violence or involved with the Justice System. Knowledge of intervention techniques and trauma-informed practices. Preferred Qualifications Completion of CITI Basis course for Social and Behavioral Researchers and Staff within 3 months of hire Completion of Mental Health Frist Aid training within 3 months of hire Experience working with Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program (HVIP). Experience in health care or hospital settings. As part of this mission, the purpose of the CAARE Diagnostic and Treatment Center is to provide culturally responsive, trauma informed patient care (mental health services), teaching and research on behalf of abused/neglected and at-risk children. The CAARE Center specializes in treating childhood trauma, offering evidence-based treatment within a multidisciplinary setting that values staff wellness. Mental health services are provided to children ages 0 to 21 through various service contracts and grants across settings, including outpatient clinics, pediatric clinics, juvenile hall, and community settings. The UCD Trauma Recovery Center is a collaboration between the CAARE Center, the UC Davis Health Wraparound Hospital-based Violence Intervention Program (HVIP), and the UC Davis Health Violence Prevention Research Program (VPRP). The UCD-TRC will be co-located with the Wraparound program on UC Davis Health campus to provide a multidisciplinary team approach to comprehensive services for victims of crime ages 0-26 years old.
