CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift

Location: Redford, MI

Shift: 2nd Shift

Type: Full-Time

Pay: Based on experience + shift premium

About the Opportunity

A growing precision manufacturing facility is hiring multiple CNC Machinists for 2nd shift . These roles are ideal for machinists who are confident operators but can also perform basic programming edits, offsets, and process adjustments . You will work with CNC mills and/or lathes and support production of high-precision components for industrial, aerospace, or defense applications.

What You’ll Do

● Operate CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) on 2nd shift

● Perform setups, tool changes, and part changeovers

● Make basic program edits and offsets to maintain part quality

● Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other metrology tools

● Read and follow blueprints, GD&T requirements, and work instructions

● Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining or dimensional issues

● Maintain production throughput and accuracy

● Keep machines and work area clean, safe, and organized

What You Bring

● CNC machining experience (mills and/or lathes)

● Ability to perform minor programming edits , offsets, and adjustments

● Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T

● Understanding of tooling, cutting parameters, and machining best practices

● Ability to work independently on 2nd shift

● Detail-oriented and quality-focused work approach

● Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
