Desert Tech is seeking motivated individuals to join our customer service and sales team. This multi-level position may be structured as a Customer Service Representative, Inside Sales Representative, or a combination of both , depending on the candidate’s experience, capabilities and career goals.

Customer Service Responsibilities

Candidates beginning in the customer service track may be responsible for:

• Responding to customer and dealer inquiries by telephone, email and other communication channels
• Providing accurate information regarding products, pricing, availability and order status
• Entering and processing customer and dealer orders
• Helping resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate customer records and communication history in the CRM
• Developing strong working knowledge of Desert Tech products and policies
• Identifying sales opportunities and directing qualified customers to the appropriate sales representative

Inside Sales Responsibilities

Candidates with applicable sales experience may also be responsible for:

• Building relationships with existing dealers and customers
• Conducting outbound calls and following up on sales opportunities
• Reactivating inactive accounts and developing new business
• Recommending products based on customer and dealer needs
• Preparing quotes, following up on open opportunities and closing sales
• Promoting current products, programs and dealer incentives
• Maintaining an organized pipeline and documenting sales activity in the CRM
• Achieving assigned sales and activity goals

• Ability to learn technical product information
• Comfort working with telephone, email, CRM and order-management systems
• Ability to take initiative and follow through on commitments
• Interest in developing customer-service and professional sales skills
• Firearms knowledge or industry experience is helpful, but not required

Position Level

Final title, responsibilities and starting compensation will be determined by the candidate’s experience and demonstrated capabilities:

• Customer Service Representative: Entry-level customer support, order processing and product education
• Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative: Customer support combined with account development and sales responsibilities
• Inside Sales Representative: Outbound sales, account growth, lead follow-up and revenue responsibility

High-performing customer service representatives may be considered for expanded sales responsibilities and advancement based on reliability, product knowledge, CRM proficiency, customer-service performance and demonstrated sales ability.
