Technical Writer

Are you an experienced Technical Writer, with experience in a manufactriing environment working with PLCs, looking for the right company to call "home"?

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Writer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.

What you'll be doing...

Create and update instructions and playbooks based on the release of new application versions used globally in manufacturing plants.
Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to install and configure virtual servers.
Document step-by-step software installation and application configuration procedures tailored to plant needs.
Gather high-level requirements and test and troubleshoot issues related to new code or configurations.
Identify opportunities to apply AI and implement AI-based solutions.
Contribute to security lifecycle maintenance ensuring third-party applications comply with IT direction.
Work closely with development and support teams to maintain uptime, reliability, and security.

The right person has...

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
Experience leading technology teams with strategic and tactical responsibilities.
Strong teamwork focus and ability to foster collaboration within and across teams.
Knowledge of applications hosted on Kubernetes, focusing on scalability and fault tolerance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate and translate feedback and solutions.
Creative problem-solving skills that deliver elegant solutions to complex issues.
Experience in IT Enterprise Security concepts and implementation.
