Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments during initial client meetings to accurately identify mental health concerns.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or others suitable for treatment.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest counseling methodologies and treatment options to optimize patient care.

• Foster a trusting and empathetic atmosphere throughout counseling sessions to encourage open communication.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, making appropriate referrals to external mental health providers when necessary.

• Document and manage patient progress records following legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance your therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LPC at Myers Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, each facing unique mental health challenges. Our patient population encompasses individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and other mental health issues. Understanding cultural sensitivities and building rapport will be crucial in providing effective care and improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling or a closely related field.

• Active and unrestricted LPC license in the state of New Jersey, in compliance with all state regulations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. In addition, our benefits package includes support for billing and documentation to minimize administrative burdens, thereby allowing you to dedicate more time to patient care.
