Gluer Operator

Set up and operate folding and gluing equipment based on job tickets and approved specificationsRun equipment at optimal speeds while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standardsReview job tickets to ensure accuracy of all requirements (orientation, labeling, quantities, skid configuration, and special instructions)Monitor production and make adjustments to maintain consistent quality and performanceTroubleshoot equipment and process issues and escalate when neededPerform routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs (non-electrical)Ensure proper materials are available and correctly staged for productionPartner with Feeders, Packers, and team members to support smooth workflowReconcile production counts and maintain accurate system reporting (e.g., Hagen system)Complete production documentation and logs accurately and on timePrepare for upcoming jobs to help reduce downtime and improve efficiencyMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment (5S standards)Support team members and assist across production as neededFollow all safety guidelines, SOPs, and company proceduresHigh school diploma or GED required3+ years of experience operating folding and/or gluing equipment preferredBackground in packaging, printing, or converting is a plusStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and follow job tickets, instructions, and production documentsComfortable using basic computer systems for data entry and reportingDetail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracyAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-based manufacturing environmentReliable, safety-conscious, and willing to work overtime when neededPhysical RequirementsThis role is active and hands-on in a manufacturing environment:Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reachingContinuous use of hands for handling materialsRepetitive motion throughout the shiftRegular pushing and pulling of materialsLifting Requirements:Up to 10 lbs: Continuous10–25 lbs: Continuous25–50 lbs: Occasional #J-18808-Ljbffr Johns Byrne Co
