Information Technology Manager

We are partnered with a leading organisation looking to appoint an IT Manager to lead their internal technology function. This is a varied leadership role combining ownership of the organisation's Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment with responsibility for the wider IT landscape. You'll play a key role in shaping technology strategy, driving continuous improvement across business systems, and ensuring the IT function supports the organisation's operational and commercial objectives. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you'll build strong relationships across the business to understand departmental priorities, identify opportunities for technology to add value, and deliver solutions that improve efficiency and support future growth. Responsibilities of the role Lead and manage the organisation's IT function, ensuring secure, reliable, and effective technology services across the business. Take ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, driving ongoing enhancements, system optimisation, and user adoption, with particular focus on the Finance and Warehouse modules. Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and better utilisation of technology. Gather, prioritise, and translate business requirements into practical IT and Business Central solutions. Oversee Business Central upgrades, reporting, integrations, testing, and change management activities. Build strong working relationships with the Executive Leadership Team, maintaining regular engagement to understand departmental objectives and evolving technology requirements. Lead and prioritise a broad portfolio of IT initiatives, balancing business systems, infrastructure, security, and operational improvements. Manage relationships with third-party IT providers, software vendors, and implementation partners. Ensure the organisation's IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, hardware, and core business applications remain secure, resilient, and fit for purpose. Develop and maintain IT governance, policies, and best practices while driving continuous improvement across the technology function. Provide leadership and guidance across IT, fostering a proactive, service-focused approach to technology delivery. Skills and Experience Previous experience in an IT Manager or similar lead role. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly across Finance and Warehouse modules. Proven track record of delivering ERP improvements, system enhancements, and business process optimisation. Broad technical understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, and vendor management. Experience delivering and prioritising multiple IT projects across both business applications and wider technology initiatives. Strong reporting and analytical skills, with experience using Power BI, Jet Reports, SQL, or Business Central reporting tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work closely with executive-level leadership. Experience managing third-party technology partners and external support providers. Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance strategic planning and operational delivery.
