Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year minimum required, first-time travelers acceptable with management review License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Candidates with only 1 year of experience will not receive auto offers. Travelers should be comfortable working in a progressive care environment. Floating to different units within the organization as needed is required. Some weekends are required. Description: This is a mixed-acuity unit that cares for adult and geriatric patients with general chronic medical conditions. Travelers should be ready to float within the organization as needed. Staffing and scheduling are self-managed. The patient ratio on nights is typically 4:1. Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Orientation is provided for all new hires. Interdisciplinary support is offered, including teams from physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. The unit provides care for patients with general chronic medical conditions.
