Position: Senior Desktop Engineer

Compensation: $56 - 75 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Denver, CO

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Desktop Engineer to join their team!

This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on desktop engineering professional who enjoys improving processes, solving complex endpoint challenges, and supporting a fast-paced infrastructure environment. This role blends desktop engineering with Tier 2 support, giving you the chance to shape modern endpoint practices while supporting critical operational systems.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead workstation and endpoint management efforts.
• Build and maintain desktop imaging and deployment standards.
• Package, test, and deploy applications across the environment.
• Support patching, configuration, and compliance activities.
• Manage workstation lifecycle processes from refresh to retirement.
• Provide Tier 2 support for infrastructure issues.
• Troubleshoot servers, Active Directory, and networking issues.
• Document processes, standards, and technical procedures.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Assist with infrastructure projects and operational handoffs.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in desktop engineering or infrastructure support.
• Strong experience with Windows desktop operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with MECM/SCCM or similar endpoint tools.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with VMware or similar virtualization platforms.
• Foundational networking knowledge, including routing and switching.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience supporting operational technology environments.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Exposure to Intune or modern endpoint management tools.
• Experience with SolarWinds or SCOM.
• Endpoint security or vulnerability remediation experience.
• Relevant Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or CompTIA certifications.
