Underwriting Associate

To support a growing Commercial Underwriting Unit, the full-time Underwriting Associate will evaluate risks for various insurance policies, perform independent verification of operations, and process policy changes in a hybrid work environment based in San Antonio, TX. Key responsibilities Utilize company underwriting criteria to evaluate risks for multiple lines of business Perform independent verification of insured's operations and review change requests on in-force policies Participate in Underwriting Training for new products and projects as assigned Required qualifications Bachelor's degree with a strong score on the Wonderlic test Prior experience in Underwriting is a plus but not required Strong investigative skills and ability to utilize the internet for research Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Adaptability to changes in technology, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory conditions
