Food Runner/Server Assistant

Roka Akor Chicago is seeking passionate, energetic, and hospitality-driven Food Runners / Server Assistants to join our front-of-house team.

Roka Akor is an award-winning Japanese steakhouse and robata concept known for exceptional cuisine, premium steaks, world-class seafood, handcrafted cocktails, extensive sake offerings, and an elevated guest experience.

We are looking for team members who take pride in hospitality, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to grow within the restaurant industry.

This position serves as an important entry point into fine dining service and offers the opportunity to learn directly from experienced hospitality professionals while developing the skills necessary for future advancement.

• Deliver food to guests with accuracy, professionalism, and a sense of urgency

• Learn menu descriptions, ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation standards

• Assist servers in creating exceptional guest experiences

• Maintain communication between the dining room and kitchen during service

• Support table maintenance and guest needs throughout the dining experience

• Assist with private dining events and high-volume services

• Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required
