Responsibilities Provide case coverage for 10 surgeons (and growing) primarily at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center and also M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital Handle predominantly adult bypass cases (including on‑pump CABs, valves, minimally invasive valves, heart and lung transplants, complex aortic reconstruction, adult congenital, and VADs) Cover ECMO including initiations/transports from outside hospitals, excluding bedside management Handle other procedures including liver transplants, HIPEC, AngioVacs, and more Train future Perfusionists by clinically precepting students from various programs including UNMC and several others Schedule 1.0 FTE Variable schedule, in house hospital coverage from 7am-5pm Monday-Friday Call one day per week (Mon‑Thurs) and one weekend per month (Fri‑Sun) Need to be able to respond to University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis within 30 minutes while on call Qualifications Hard‑working, has a positive attitude, and a desire to be a team‑player Willing to contribute to the growth and development of the team and has the ability to problem‑solve and develop creative solutions to day‑to‑day challenges Graduate of an Accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion Technology Program Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion or board eligible Certified in BLS Benefits Comprehensive medical and dental insurance including a vision discount plan Substantial 403b employer contribution Generous flexible time off Allowance for CE, license, board certification, and DEA fees Disability, accident, life, and malpractice insurance As a 501(c)(3) non‑profit, we are a qualified employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program Compensation Full‑time salary range is $181,311–$246,783 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty‑specific compensation components.
