Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexible working conditions while ensuring accessibility for students and families. As part of a proactive and multidisciplinary Mental Health Team, you will communicate regularly with school staff and related service providers to offer comprehensive support. Our team is rooted in collaboration, where your expertise will enhance the educational experience of our students with conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioral disorders.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, identifying individual needs related to their emotional and psychological development.
\n
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that support each student’s unique mental health journey and educational integration.
\n
• Provide direct, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to students, supporting their emotional regulation and personal growth through both individual and group therapy sessions.
\n
• Collaborate closely with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure a seamless support system for each student.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, maintaining a calm demeanor to best assist students in distress.
\n
• Deliver psychoeducation sessions to empower students and their families, enhancing their understanding of mental health conditions and available resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of sessions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards within the counseling field.
\n
• Engage in regular team meetings and case conferences to contribute insights and strategies, while continuously seeking opportunities for staff development.

• Stay knowledgeable about current mental health laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines impacting practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our services cater primarily to students with special needs, including those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other emotional and behavioral disorders. You will be instrumental in providing compassionate care that fosters personal development, emotional stability, and effective coping strategies in a supportive educational setting.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) , Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) , Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) , or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) .

• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
\n
• Proven experience in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and developing treatment plans.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic modalities relevant to our client population.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a similar role working with students or individuals with special needs.

• Experience in group therapy settings involving children and adolescents.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate documentation and collaboration.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention capabilities and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Compensation and Benefits\n
