Inspire Generosity and Fuel Jewish Impact The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is seeking a relationship-driven and results-oriented Major Gifts Officer to elevate our culture of philanthropy and deepen connections with our most generous supporters. This is more than a fundraising position, it’s an opportunity to help shape the future of Jewish life locally and globally by connecting passionate donors with meaningful impact. This role will steward and grow a dynamic portfolio of major donors, with a focus on securing and increasing gifts of $10,000 and above. Through thoughtful relationship-building, personalized engagement, and compelling storytelling, you will help ensure our community’s vibrancy and sustainability for generations to come Role and Impact As our Major Gifts Officer, you will serve as a frontline fundraiser and strategic partner in advancing the Federation’s Annual Campaign and key philanthropic initiatives. Working collaboratively with the Development team and lay leadership, you will cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring they feel valued, inspired, and deeply connected to our mission. Key Responsibilities Manage, steward, and grow a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects Conduct face-to-face solicitations and personalized stewardship to increase giving and deepen engagement Develop and execute individualized donor strategies and engagement plans Strategic Growth & Pipeline Development Identify and qualify new major gift prospects through research and community networking Partner with development leadership to build a strong pipeline of future major donors using data-driven strategies Collaborate across departments to align donor interests with community needs and impact opportunities Events & Donor Engagement Support and participate in events, missions, parlor meetings, and community experiences that connect donors to impact Help design meaningful engagement opportunities that inspire philanthropic growth Partner with lay leaders, volunteers, and professional staff to leverage relationships and expand outreach Maintain accurate and detailed donor records in CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar) Track and report on key metrics including donor retention, upgrades, and new major gift acquisition 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising or relationship management experience, preferably in major gifts A proven track record of securing gifts of $10,000+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build authentic, long‑term relationships Passion for Jewish values, community, and philanthropy Experience with donor databases such as Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce A self‑motivated, organized approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities Why You Should Work Here We believe meaningful work begins with a supportive, mission-driven environment.
