Base pay range $24.00/hr - $28.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Eastridge Workforce Solutions Corporate Recruiter | Talent Scout | New Hire Ambassador POSITION : Staff Payroll Specialist COMPENSATION : $24 - $28/ hour Position Summary: The role of the Staff Payroll Specialist is to ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time for both regularly scheduled bi-weekly payroll as well as commission monthly payroll. Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes Process staff payroll for a staff of roughly 200 employees: Processes payroll each pay period for the Staff Payroll Manager's review and approval. Additional payroll responsibilities include but are not limited to, manual check processing, assisting employees/management with time entry, audit/verification of data entered in payroll system by HR team, etc. Payroll is processed biweekly. Employees are paid every other Friday. The Company uses TempWorks to process payroll. Regularly calculate quarterly, monthly and bi-weekly commissions: Calculates and prepares commission statements quarterly (Bottom Line commissions) monthly and bi-weekly (Direct Hire commissions) for the Staff Payroll Manager's review and approval. The Payroll department calculates and pays staff monthly and bi-weekly commissions. Additional commission responsibilities include but are not limited to, form verification and entry in ATS, review with commissioned employees, distribution of statements to employees and management, etc. Run payroll/commission reports and provide analysis where requested: Compensation is a very strategic component of the Company's strategy. Payroll costs also represent a significant portion of the Company's operating expense. As a result, from time to time management requests payroll reports and related analysis to support decision making. Provide Biweekly reporting to Accounting: Responsible for preparing and submitting biweekly reporting to Accounting at the end of each biweekly payroll. The reports include but are not limited to: Check Register, Payroll Journal and Payroll Summary. Respond to payroll related personnel requests: Responsible for receiving and making requested payroll changes. Management commonly requests payroll related changes. Payroll related changes include withholdings, compensation, and department allocations. Provide recommendations to the Payroll Manager to improve the department: Have firsthand knowledge of how well the Company's payroll function is working. Based on this knowledge, employee is expected to recommend improvements to the Staff Payroll Manager. Qualifications 2 years of experience with processing payroll. Experience with Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables). High attention to detail Process oriented Nice to have: Experience with processing Commissions Multitasking Eager to learn
